Privacy Policy

• Account data: When you sign up or sign in, we store your name and email address, provided through the app's authentication provider. This identifies you across sessions and devices.
• Multiplayer / game data: When you host or join an online game, we store your user ID, display name, the game type, game code, your answers/score, turn state, and match results. This data is required to run live and turn-based multiplayer matches and is shared with other players in the same match (e.g., your name and score on a results screen).
• Visit / analytics data: We record aggregate counts of visits to each game page for product-improvement purposes. These counts are not linked to your individual identity.
• AI / LLM processing data: Several games generate questions, translate content, or judge open-ended answers using a large-language-model (LLM) service. To do this, your selected language, category, and your submitted answers may be sent to the LLM provider to produce or evaluate your response.
• Device / usage data: Standard technical information such as device type and anonymized session identifiers may be processed by the hosting platform for security and reliability.

• To create and maintain your account and sign-in session.
• To host, join, and run multiplayer and turn-based learning games.
• To generate game questions, translate content, and evaluate open-ended answers via AI/LLM services.
• To display your name and score to other players in shared matches.
• To understand aggregate usage and improve the app's content and performance.
• To detect and prevent abuse or violations of our rules.

We process your personal data on the basis of: (a) performance of our contract with you to provide the game services you requested; (b) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the app; and (c) your consent where applicable (e.g., AI/LLM processing of your answers). You may withdraw consent or request deletion at any time as described below.

Your data is stored on the app's cloud hosting and database provider. We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only as follows:

• With other players in a match: your display name and score are visible within the games you participate in.
• With our AI/LLM provider: selected language, category, and your submitted answers may be transmitted to generate or evaluate content.
• With our service providers: hosting, database, and authentication providers that process data on our behalf under appropriate data-protection terms.
• As required by law: where disclosure is compelled by valid legal process.

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including on servers operated by our hosting, database, authentication, and AI providers. We rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for such transfers where required.

• Account data: retained while your account is active, and deleted when you delete your account (see below).
• Game data: online game records are retained while matches are active and for a reasonable period afterward for results display and abuse prevention, then are removable on account deletion.
• Visit/analytics data: aggregate counts are retained for product-improvement purposes and are not linked to your identity.
• LLM inputs: transmitted to the LLM provider subject to that provider's retention practices.
• We may retain limited data where required for legitimate retention requirements such as legal obligations, fraud prevention, or completing records of completed matches.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data. In WBB Learning Games you can exercise deletion directly from the Account & Settings screen (see below).

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Account & Settings → Danger Zone → Delete My Account. Deleting your account:

• Permanently deletes your user account (it is not merely deactivated, suspended, or hidden).
• Deletes the online learning games you created or hosted.
• Removes your player entry from any games you joined but did not host.
• Is subject only to any data we are legally required to retain.

This action is irreversible and requires typed confirmation to prevent accidental deletion.

WBB Learning Games is an educational game app that may be used by students. For users under the applicable age of digital consent, account creation and use should be handled by a parent, guardian, or school. We do not knowingly collect more personal data than is necessary to operate the educational games, and we do not use personal data for targeted advertising.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored with us or our providers.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will reflect the date of the latest revision above and, where significant, notify you within the app.

For privacy questions or to exercise your data rights, you may also contact Write Beyond Borders through the app's support channel. If you cannot access your account, you may request deletion by contacting us via the same channel.
